BOSI (Body Signal Intelligence) helps women through perimenopause and menopause with daily wellness guidance. This policy explains what the BOSI app collects, why, who helps us run it, and the choices you have. This website itself collects no personal data and sets no cookies.

What we collect
Your account
- Your email address and a securely hashed password, or your Apple or Google sign-in. With Apple or Google we receive a sign-in identifier and, if you share it, your email address and whether it’s verified.
Your profile
- Date of birth, life stage, your main goal and the challenges you chose when you joined.
- Optional height, weight and targets, which we use to work out your BMI.
What you record
- Daily check-ins: sleep, energy, mood, symptoms, activity, optional heart-rate variability and sleep stages, cycle day and notes.
- Blood pressure readings: systolic, diastolic, optional pulse and notes.
- Body measurements: weight, height and circumferences you choose to log.
- Your feedback on daily guidance.
Apple Health
Connecting BOSI to Apple Health is optional, and BOSI works fully without it. With your permission, BOSI reads:

You choose what to share in the iOS permission screen and can change it any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → BOSI.
- BOSI never writes anything to Apple Health.
- Raw Apple Health data, such as individual sleep samples and heart-rate readings, stays on your phone. BOSI sends only the values your check-in needs, over an encrypted connection.
- Apple Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with analytics, advertising or data-broker services.
Health Connect (Android)
On Android, connecting BOSI to Health Connect is optional, and BOSI works fully without it. Health Connect holds data from apps such as Samsung Health, Fitbit, Google Fit, Oura and Garmin. With your permission, BOSI reads:

You choose each type in Android’s Health Connect permission screen and can change it any time in Health Connect → App permissions → BOSI, or from BOSI’s Profile.
- BOSI only reads. It never writes, changes or deletes anything in Health Connect, and only reads while you’re using the app.
- Raw Health Connect data, such as individual sleep stages and heart-rate readings, stays on your phone. BOSI sends only the values your check-in needs, over an encrypted connection.
- Health Connect data is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with analytics, advertising or data-broker services.
- BOSI’s use of information received from Health Connect follows the Health Connect Permissions policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
How we use your information
- To work out your daily body state, BOSI score and guidance.
- To show your trends, patterns, streak and Golden Signals.
- To run and secure your account.
- Your daily check-in reminder is scheduled on your phone; we don’t send push messages from our servers.
AI-generated guidance
To write your daily guidance, BOSI sends your check-in values and profile context (such as your life stage and main goal) to Anthropic’s AI service. We don’t send your name or email address. If the service is unavailable, BOSI uses its own built-in guidance instead. We keep a short record of each request (time, whether it succeeded, and its size) to keep the service reliable; it doesn’t include your answers.
Who helps us run BOSI
We use these service providers, only to provide BOSI:
- Render: hosts BOSI’s servers and this website.
- MongoDB Atlas: stores BOSI’s database, encrypted at rest.
- Google Firebase Authentication: verifies Sign in with Apple and Google.
- Anthropic: writes daily guidance (see above).
- Apple: the App Store, Sign in with Apple and Apple Health.
- Google: Google Play, Sign in with Google and Health Connect on Android.
Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We keep a record of sign-in events (for example a successful sign-in or an account deletion) for 365 days to protect your account. These records don’t contain passwords, tokens, your email or your name.
What we never do
- We never sell your data.
- We don’t show ads or share your data with advertisers.
- We don’t track you across other apps or websites.
Your rights and choices
- Access and export: ask us for a copy of your data at support@getbosi.ai.
- Correct: edit your profile, today’s check-in and your readings in the app.
- Delete: in the app, go to Profile → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, profile, check-ins, blood pressure readings, Golden Signals and Apple Health connection records, and removes your Apple or Google sign-in link.
Body measurements aren’t yet removed automatically when you delete your account. Email support@getbosi.ai and we’ll delete them for you.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR, including the right to object or complain to your data protection authority.
Children
BOSI is for adults. It isn’t intended for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we’ll update the date above and tell you in the app.
